Denman is the WI's own residential adult education college. It is a
late Georgian house set in 17 acres of beautiful grounds, eight miles south of Oxford near Abingdon. It was bought by the WI in 1947 and over the years it has developed into a modern college with high quality educational facilities as well as accommodation.
The courses available vary in length from one to five days. The subjects covered are very diverse. The College publishes a new programme of courses three times a year which is available from your own Secretary or from the website www.denman.org.uk
The cost of a course includes the tuition costs as well as all food and accommodation. Some WIs and Groups offer bursaries to help with the cost of courses and Surrey Federation and NFWI offer bursaries for particular courses each year. The Federation runs a yearly draw, costing £1, the prize is a course at Denman College.
